We take an in-depth look at the latest release of Festo Fluidsim version 4.2, including its new features and improvements. The newest 4.2 release includes fixes for problems found in the previous version, introduces a damper module for electronics models, and adds new valves (modeled by Hydraulik-Technik PUTZMEISTER) to the library download package! The newest release also includes all previous updates from 4.1 onwards! As usual, all Parametric Pneumatics components are now free to use with all Fluidsim demos. The new hardware simulation feature in Fluidsim 4.2 allows nonlinear dynamics of the electronics to be modeled. This is done by adding a low-frequency periodic current to the fluidic model and can be used to simulate electronic responses such as self-oscillations and hysteresis. Fluidsim is capable of simulating many processes in detail, including:Fluidsim contains a large collection of ready-made components for directly integrating into your system, ranging from hydraulic cylinders, motors and pneumatics components through to electric motors, solenoid valves and fluidic components such as valves and actuators. The library also offers many sample models for typical applications such as pumps or cylinders. Fluidsim was designed from the outset to be a parametric design program for pneumatics and electronics. A new component can be defined in a few minutes, and then it can be instantly reused in many different designs or experiments. Fluidsim facilitates the creation of prototype assemblies with integrated pneumatic and electronic components using an intuitive graphical interface. The tools were created by engineers for engineers, but they are also appropriate for non-technical users such as students or hobbyists. The latest edition of Fluidsim 4 is available for download at: http://www.fluidsim.com/products/fluidsim-4/downloads.html Fluidsim is the evolution of 1st & 2nd editions of "FluidSim", a leading software package for pneumatics research and development. Units are the principle element of the program used to measure pressure, flow rate, flow velocity or any other parameter that can be measured or controlled in an hydraulic system. Units are used to connect actuators with systems and display the result on LCD screens, plotters, plotters or printouts. The units section contains all the units that can be used in the program. Units are either predefined by the user or automatically created according to the settings of other units. The units can be freely manipulated during simulation, but they cannot be physically modified themselves. Intuitive, Step-by-step wizards let you instantly create complex hydraulic or pneumatic systems by simply dragging and dropping components into your designs without worrying about the inner workings of the system. Once created, components can be saved as reusable libraries for reusing in different designs or experiments later on. Using the powerful UControl Wizard you will find all hydraulic and pneumatic components you need to build your pneumatics system designed within seconds. eccc085e13
